The need to create “something” is universal in every person, but writers, painters, musicians, artisans, and dancers seem to have the ability from birth to be able to extrapolate extraordinary tales out of thin air. The need to create “something” is universal in every person, but writers, painters, musicians, artisans, and dancers seem to have the ability from birth to be able to extrapolate extraordinary tales out of thin air. It is an incredible mystery this need to imagine worlds that don’t exist.

Thank you for an excellent point–it is something that I believe exists at birth in people, but, unfortunately, society takes out of them.

I love your quotations and yes, society does squash, curtail, and discourage the young from an early age, except the rebellious ones. Also, I don’t know what happened but my comment repeated itself. Strange.

Creativity is like putting a seashell to the ear and hearing oceans of poetry, symphonies, and the sounds of colors colliding on canvas…It haunts and nags and taunts until fingers settle on keys or strings or brushes. It’s not that other people can’t hear it all…It’s that they’ve rationalized why it doesn’t matter.
