This is the website for the pre-existing writing of Christopher Pryor, a writer that writes mostly in Oregon. He is currently writing a novel in verse that he is publishing serially on the blog page of this website. He wanted me to tell you that he wishes you nothing but green lights and blue skies and that he hopes you will enjoy the poems. But only to those having taken a moment to read them. He can be reached proximally or distally at christopherpryor52 @ gmail dot com.

One of our best presidents…and what a burden he carried!

Yes, he did, and what would he say today.

He would shake his head and he would address us with words that would last centuries as he told us to grow up, solve the problems, love our brothers and sisters regardless of race or political parties. He would be a mature parent in the midst of juvenile posturing on both sides of the political spectrum!

I wish a time machine existed so this Republican–Lincoln could speak to us today.

You know, we have a Lincoln memorial here in Southern California as apparently this area was involved in the Civil War to this extent. So we have some events coming up at our memorial and some re-enactments of the soldiers and bands at that time.
I was thinking how truly difficult it would be in any period of time to be the President. People think the President is some kind of strange job that requires no brains. I want it known that I am very a-political, but I was just thinking about politics in general, and it is not so much the person as it is the political environment that our government has come to in this time. People have come to take freedom to mean something it is not, and freedom is NOT, contrary to popular belief, free. We have to struggle to make it possible for everyone, not just a select few. Anyway, as I said, I am not in favor of either party at this point in time, and I just watch the politics from a distance. It is sad that we seem to have forgotten what this nation has stood for, and that is not a statement particularly about any single figure, but about our politics in general. Thank you kindly. Yes, Washington was a great man living in a very difficult time, and he did a great job with what he had to work with.

There are so many more men and women alive today that can do a better job blindfolded. I know we have had many better presidents but I know we haven’t had one worse. I pray daily for a reprieve.
