Me, I am fascinated by the magic of invention….how DO we do what we do??? It’s a mystery…

That is an excellent question, for which I have no answer. Hmm. . . perhaps that could be the basis for another blogpost.

I, too, have often wondered about the why…why did someone decide to churn milk and come up with butter? Who came up with the idea of making ice cream and why? What was the inspiration behind creating bread?

Just finished reading “Past Tense”,Lee Child’s latest Jack Reacher novel. I found it very disappointing and very generic,it was the worst of the series so far. I think its a great example of rushing to meet a deadline and one writing just to be writing.

I love this post by Professor Charles F. French, and he knows about the magic of books, because he creates magic in his own paranormal books.

Books are magical, and books were invented as well. Inventions are the result, often times, to solve a problem, and also by accident. For instance, churning butter was by accident, a very long time ago by churning left over unusable thickened day old cream from milk that couldn’t be used in any other way and to preserve what could be eaten in winter. It was like lard but made from milk cream, and I love butter. So, glad that some very smart milkmaid, often very hungry, utilized all leftover food products to take home to their hungry family. In those days, every part of an animal, like a cow, was utilized for food, leather, twine, needles, clothing, and more…
