This is a quick reminder to all writers: read and write everyday. These are the two most important activities for anyone who wishes to be an author.
Our lives can be very busy and hectic, but try to put some time aside to do both reading and writing.
Absolutely, this is something I have to work on. Sometimes you just hit a wall and it’s hard to get over it.

I think the best way is to write, even if it is not your project. Write about anything, and read something for pleasure.

This is so important. As writers, we should all read and write everyday and I agree with this so much. Sometimes, after a long day’s work, it’s so easy to give into exhaustion and put writing on the back burner and choose something else to do instead. But I’ve been learning to fight past this recently – and it’s improved my mood so much. But, if I am actually way too tired and my brain really doesn’t want to play ball, I find reading is a healthy escape too!

Thank you for this comment! Besides being important for writers, reading is also one of the great pleasures of life. I always have a book to read that has nothing to do with my work as a teacher or writer.

Absolutely! I’ll take a book with me wherever I go – it’s served as a great comfort if ever I’ve had a car breakdown!

Excellent! I always have a book, or two, in my car.

I do so agree Charles. Not a day goes by without reading.
Almost an addiction. 😊.

Miriam, I would say it is more like a life necessity, like breathing.

Absolutely!!! The skills you repeat often tend to stay with you – what you don’t use, you tend to lose. I carry books with me everywhere – even from room to room in my house! Lol!

Perfect reminder, Charles! It’s only too easy to get caught up in all the other things that demand out attention. There should always be a little time left for what we love to do, be it writing, painting or making music. 😊
