Hello to all writers!
What is your current WIP–your Work In Progres? I am currently working on a first draft of book 3 in my Investigative Paranormal Society series, and I am revising — a 5th draft — of a fantasy novel, and a 2nd draft of a political thriller.
Please let us know what you are working on.
And remember, there is magic in words!
Keep writing!
Awesome, Charles. I have your book 2 on my kindle for after my poetry readathon. I am working on my boer war historical supernatural fantasy book. I have other WIPs but I get obsessed by a current work and find it hard to switch to something else during drafting.

Your current projects sound exciting, Charles. 🙂 After I released by book, “Daddy Won’t Let Mom Drive the Car: True Tales of Parenting in the Dark” last July, I got my author Web site up and running. I wrote a 5,500 word prequel to my award-winning novel, “The Bright Side of Darkness,” which includes scenes that took place before the book began and that relate to the story in significant ways. The prequel is available to readers who go to http://www.brightsideauthor.com and subscribe to my book club. Since then, I’ve taken a bit of a breather and worked on some blog posts while my brain rests a bit. 🙂

I’m in the “thinking about it” stage of a book of short stories. It will be primarily a matter of curation.

I hope so, too. I’ve had a personal setback recently that is taking some time to work through, but I’m getting there.

Apparently it is simply stalled at the moment! Oversaturation of work and holidays!

I’m almost through with the first draft of my latest short story. Even though I’ve outlined it from beginning to end, every piece takes on a life of its own, and I have to adapt to how the characters and their story has changed. Hard work, but when it all comes together, it’s just as you say, Charles — magic.

I’m taking a break from poetry and embarking on my first novel. Currently at research and incubation stage. The story is loosely based on my family history of post WW2 immigration to UK. It explores how the traumas of war, Stalinism and surviving the Nazis cast a shadow over their new life.

Hey Charles and friends. Got these two novellas drafted:
1) Goodbye, Maggie (156 pages)
In a culture of health nuts, gurus, quacks, and seekers, Phil’s stagnant life goes topsy-turvy when his charismatic brother shows up with the news that he has murdered someone and asks for sanctuary.
(2) Love’s Ragged Claws (54 pages)
An old man enters confession for the first time in 50 years and tells the priest he has only three sins to confess, all sins of the flesh, and the confession opens up the byways of human identity and human relationships as it weaves the tale of the three sins.

I’m mostly concentrating on my blog. However, since blogging was my first step to doing more writing, and I’ve been at it for almost a year, I’m starting to think about dipping my toe into some other projects.
