I’m not a fan of Christmas movies in general, I used to as a child though. It’s not a film but the 20 minute animated version of “The Snowman” is a must watch every Christmas.

I love the Snowman, but I also like A Christmas Story with Darren McGavin, where his little son, Ralphie wants a Red Ryder BB gun but he is constantly being told he can’t have it because “you’ll shoot your eye out.”

I actually enjoyed a Hallmark Movie based on a David Balducci novel called “The Christmas Train”……it was pretty damn good and I recommend it.
Of couse 1951’s “A Christmas Carol” is also amazing as well.

I have not seen the movie of the novel, but I did read it. I will look for it. Do you know the name of the movie?

My family has a list of preferred movies; National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, Home Alone, The Santa Clause, and A Christmas Story. I’m still trying to convince them that Die Hard is a Christmas movie.

Merry Christmas, Professor! There have been so many wonderful Christmas movies over the years, it is hard to choose just one. My youngest daughter was born on Christmas Eve and her favorite is A Christmas Carol, with George C. Scott. We watched it every Christmas when she was home, so I guess I’ll go with that one.
