  1. I always recall the old Sci-Fi story where the ambassador from some distant star mistook a bear for a human being (hey, it stands up, got two arms, two legs, and a head). Kind of takes the idea of differences and puts it right in the trash where it belongs.

  2. Thank you for this post with wise quotations. I agree with KC: “I tend to think it is also never too late to learn from our prejudices…and to learn that we do indeed have them…in spite of our best intentions.” Many of us are ignorant of and/or in denial about our prejudices — and thus continue inflicting them (subtly and not-so-subtly) on other beings…
