To all the writers who read this blog:

This is a very difficult time for all of us. Please remember to do the best that you can to endure. Please remember to value yourselves and your writing. Please remember that you are writers, no matter if you are published, self-published, or beginning a work. Please remember that if you write, then you are a writer.

Be proud of yourselves.

Value your writing.

Keep writing!

  1. I read this with my ‘writing’ instrument (the pen) being my secondary instrument…and encouragement for my primary instrument (Classical Guitar). I have finally re-established myself on the practice stool which I’ve avoided more often than not lately (dumb COVID related emotional/psychological stuff/internal hurdles).
So, this is timely for all (he)artists – writers, musicians, etc.
    Thank you.

  2. Thank you for this advice, Charles. I thought our meeting was tonight until I dialed in and saw it was next week. I now realise why I got so confused and missed the meeting two weeks ago. I tried to join after my work meeting and thought you had finished early. The penny just dropped today that your time has moved out an hour so the meetings were at 6.30pm my time and are now at 7.30pm my time.

  3. Thanks Charles, that’s an encouraging message! I would like to do more ‘serious’ writing soon, but I’m finding it increasingly difficult to divide my time between my other pursuits (work and preparing for a PhD) and writing.
